The Founder's Story
Turning Pain into Purpose
The story of Osborne House begins with a deeply personal journey. When my father-in-law was living with dementia for two years, starting in 2017, I witnessed first-hand the challenges that families face when a loved one needs more care than they can provide alone. His journey changed something in me. I knew I wanted to care for people like him — with warmth, with dignity, and with all the attention they deserve.
He sadly passed away in 2019, but from that loss came a quiet calling. In 2022, I completed my training through Oasis Training Centre, and I have not looked back since. I always knew I wanted to help more than one person or one family at a time, and that is what led me to build Osborne House — a place where compassionate, professional care could reach the families who need it most.
It has now been two years since Osborne House first opened its doors, and I know I have not made a mistake. Passion is what drives me every single day — passion to support families navigating the emotional reality of having a frail parent who needs professional help, and to ensure that every resident in our care feels safe, known, and truly at home.
